B, 12th Arkansas Cavalry, captured in Drew county, Arkansas, April 6, 1864; confined at U.S. Military Prison, Rock Island, Illinois; exchanged at Red River Landing, Louisiana, March 4, 1865. [Note: this man may be the J. F. Thompson who previously served in the Monticello Artillery.]
