Lee Roy Cook, age 74, of Great Falls, Montana, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the VA Montana Healthcare Center in Fort Harrison, Montana. He was born January 2, 1937 in Rolling Forks, Mississippi, a son of the late Jess C. Cook and Gracie M. Bellow Cook. Mr. Cook served in the United States Army, retiring in 1976. He lived in many different states over the course of his life before ending up in Montana to be close to his youngest daughter. Mr. Cook enjoyed fishing, working crossword puzzles, reading the paper, and visiting with family and friends.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Romona Cook; children, Lee Cook Jr., Frances Sprayberry, Bryan Cook, Tracy Cook, Carol Cole, Shelly Williams, Ann Hernandez, Hayden Williams, and Phyllis Henry; brother, Benny Cook; sister, Nell Barrett; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Broach Cemetery in Kingsland. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
