WILLIAMS, Mrs. Wash {LATTIMER} - Mrs. Wash Williams passed away yesterday at noon at the home of her mother, Mrs. N.B. Lattimer. The remains were taken to Rogers on the early train this morning for interment. Funeral services were held at that place at 10 a.m. Mrs. Williams had been in ill health for some time and came to Springdale several weeks ago for a last visit with her mother, Mrs. N.B. Lattimer, and sister, Mrs. Ida Holcomb. The deceased was 54 years of age and was well known in this section. Mr. Williams formerly resided at Rogers and was prominent in the business affairs of that town. He was one of the first settlers in that place. Eleven years ago the family moved to East St. Louis, Illinois where Mr. Williams engaged in the stock business and that had since been their home. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband and two children, Mrs. Martha Caudle and Dwight, both of whom reside at East St. Louis. Her husband has been with her several days and the daughter and son arrived Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Williams have one son dead, whose remains rest in the cemetery at Rogers. Besides the above Mrs. Williams has two brothers, James Lattimer, who resides in the Territory and Bod, whose home is at Boonville. There are three sisters, Mrs. B.G. Griffey and Mrs. D.B. Castleberry of Boonville and Mrs. Ida Holcomb of this place. All were present during the last hours of the deceased except the first named. Mrs. Williams was a member of the South Methodist Church and was an excellent christian woman, beloved and respected by all. She had friends wherever she was known and all of them will sympathize with the family in the loss they have sustained.
