CENTERTON — John Randal Stucky, 59, of Centerton died April 12, 2007, at Bentonville. He was born Feb. 17, 1948, in Mound Ridge, Kan., to Melvin and Doris Stucky.

He was a member of the Church at Pinnacle Hills, enjoyed fishing and played football at Kansas State University. He was a former football/strength and conditioning coach at Oklahoma State University, North Carolina State University, the University of Tennessee and the University of Arkansas.

He was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was instrumental in organizing the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. He was inducted into the National Collegiate Hall of Fame.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Stucky of the home; one son, John Philip Stucky of Elm Springs; his mother of Mound Ridge, Kan.; three brothers, Ken Stucky of Orange Park, Fla., Don Stucky of Wichita, Kan., and Dick Stucky of Palm Coast, Fla.; one sister, Marilyn Smith of Winfield, Kan.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Springdale with Don Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale, online at www.memfuneral.com.

Pallbearers will be Paul Simpson, Walter Benson, Greg Callich, Shane Benson, Chad Benson, Dennis Martin and Caleb Benson.
