Leola Washington
FAYETTEVILLE — Leola Lee Mourning Washington, 72, of Fayetteville died Aug. 18, 2000, at Fayetteville Nursing Center. She was born March 28, 1928, in Tahlequah, Okla., to Marion and Lura Wade Sellers. She was a former resident of Prairie Grove and West Fork, and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Smokey" Mourning in 1969.
Survivors include three daughters, Pam Gregory of Little Rock, Helen Mourning of Fayetteville and Misty Washington of Quincy, Ill.; four sons, Bob, Tom and Joe Mourning, all of Fayetteville, and Don Mourning of Weatherford, Texas; one brother, Marion "Son" Sellers of Farmington; two sisters, Christine Conrad of Tahlequah, Okla., and Maxine Kelley of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with Terry Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Garrett Creek Cemetery of Prairie Grove.
