Eugene Ellison, 83, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in a local hospital. He was born June 2, 1927 in Ozark, Arkansas.
He was a retired civil engineer.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Conner and Pamela Alkire.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellison of the home; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Tam Ellison, Rick Ellison, Dale Edwards, and Dale Gentry.

Ida Ruth Medlock Ellison, 79, of Van Buren, AR, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born May 5, 1933, in Ozark to Elmer and Effie Medlock Morrell.
She was a retired Assistant Director of the East Los Angeles School Lunch Program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ellison; and two daughters, Carol Connor and Pamela Alkire.
She is survived by five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren, AR with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Alkire, Timothy Connor, Charlie Bowen, Tom Ellison, Ben Gentry and Dale Edwards.
