BROCK, William King - William K. Brock, a resident of Bentonville for thirty-seven years, died at the home of his son, Forrest M. Brock, Tuesday, July 24 at the age of nearly 80 years. Funeral services were held at the son's home Wednesday afternoon, the Reverend Clarence Cockrum, assisted by the Reverend W.C. Wheat, officiating. Interment was made in the City Cemetery. William King Brock was born in Jacksonville, Mo. November 13, 1848 and was the son of Rev. George D. and Martha L. Brock. In early manhood he joined the Baptist church and was choir leader for several years. In 1868 he married Miss Sallie Walters who died ten years later. He was married to his second wife, Miss Elizabeth Wolfe, who survives him, in 1884. Mr. Brock and his family moved to Bentonville in 1891 from Moberly, Mo. where he has continuously made his home ever since. Surviving him is his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Brock and four sons, F.M. Brock, Bentonville; Harvey T. Brock, Kansas City; George D. Brock, Mannford, Okla. and W.K. Brock, Jr. of Wewoka, Okla.; also by two daughters, Miss Goldie Brock of St. Louis and Mrs. J.T. Harrison of East St. Louis, Ill., all of whom were present at the funeral. He is also survived by three brothers, John G. of Moberly, Mo.; Arthur M. of Minneapolis, Minn.; Hugh of Colorado and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Moore and Mrs. Fannie Ridgeway of Wolcott, Colo.

Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Morris and Mr. and Mrs. David Bealer attended the funeral of W.K. Brock Wednesday afternoon in Bentonville. Mr. Brock was at one time a music dealer in Bentonville and will be remembered by many of our people as he sold pianos and organs through the country. His death was caused from some form of cancer there being only one other case like it on record.
