Relatives and many friends and acquaintances here were shocked early Tuesday to learn of the death of Miss Goldie Brock, formerly of Bentonville, at the St. Louis home of herself and her mother, Mrs. William K. Brock, at 6 o'clock that morning. Her brother, F.M. Brock and family of Bentonville, had been advised a few days earlier that she was quite sick but not critically so and on Monday night had received a phone call advising them to come to her bedside as soon as possible, but before they could have gotten away the next morning they received the news of her death. Funeral services for Miss Brock are being held this afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. H.R. McKeen and the Rev. W.C. Wheat in the absence of the pastor, the Rev. A.W. Henderson, who is confined to his home by illness. Interment will be in the Bentonville cemetery beside her father, the late W.K. Brock. Marcia Goldena Brock, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William K. Brock, who for a great many years were residents of Bentonville, was born here on November 26th, 1897, her death occurring at her home in St. Louis on December 27th, 1932. She was reared in Bentonville, attending the grammar and high schools here and later taking a commercial course and for a number of years she and her mother have lived in St. Louis where she has had employment. At the time of her death she was in the employ of the Missouri Pacific Railway Company as a stenographer in its St. Louis offices and had held that position for the past several years. Besides her mother she is survived by four brothers: William K. Brock of Wewoka, Okla.; Forrest M. Brock of Bentonville; George Brock of Manford, Okla. and Harvey Brock of Kansas City. All of her brothers also were reared here in Bentonville and the entire family has here a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.
