Clarence Augusta Scott of Wild Cherry, Ark., was born in Cherokee, Iowa August 21, 1875 and died at his home near Wild Cherry, Ark., after a lingering illness June 15 at the age of 84 years. He was the son of the late Sylvester and Hannah Scott.
He was united in marriage to Annie Forrister in 1897, who died in 1900. To this union two children were born. In 1902 he was married to Mary E. Smith, to this union three sons were born.
He is survived by his wife and four sons, Vessie of Pineville, Ark., Elmer of Commerce, Okla., Euell of Beaumont, Tex., and Clifford of Mammoth Spring, Ark., 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday June 17 at 2 p.m. at Wild Cherry with Rev. W. A. Moody of Mammoth Spring officiating. Burial was made in Wild Cherry Cemetery under direction of the Hall Funeral Home.
