Clifton Sanders Dies as Result of Injuries Received at West Plains.
Clifton Sanders of Pineville died in a West Plains, Mo. hospital Monday morning as a result of injuries received the previous Friday. He was engaged at trucking logs to West Plains and while unloading timber at a mill at that place was caught beneath two rolling logs, receiving internal injuries. He was removed immediately to the hospital.
Mr Sanders was 40 years of age. He was born at Iuka, a son of Mr and Mrs Elbert Sanders and the greater part of his life was spent in this section. He was married to Miss Raybourne Guffey, April 24, 1938. He served in the army during World War 11. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife; his parents; two brothers, Gurtnade Sanders, Wichita, Kansas, and Vernard Sanders of Dolph; and three sisters, Mrs Inez Voss, Mankato, Kansas, Mrs Armilda Arnold, Rozella, Kansas and Mrs Eldred Dipman, Larned, Kansas.
