T.R. Jones, aged 79, died Thursday afternoon, January 19th, 1933 at his home near Garfield, this county, where he had lived many years. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the home with burial at Twelve Corners cemetery near Pea Ridge.

{from Twelve Corners) T.R. Jones was born Feb. 9, 1852 in Virginia and departed this life Jan. 19, 1933 at the age of 80 years, 11 months, 10 days. He moved with his parents to Missouri when a child. He came to Arkansas when a young man and spent the remainder of his life here. He was married to Sarah Jane Foster Oct. 3, 1877. To this union was born six children, five of whom were at his bedside. One died in infancy. Mrs. Jones died April 13, 1931. He united with the Christian church about 46 years ago and had lived faithful to his church since. Survivors are: Mrs. S.J. Cox, Fairland, Okla.; Mrs. Lee Ford, Garfield, Ark.; John Jones, Rogers; Wiley Jones, Garfield, and Miss Anna Jones at the home, and one brother, Alex Jones of northern Missouri. He leaves 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by J.P.G. Rhoulac of Pea Ridge. The body was laid to rest in the Twelve Corners cemetery.
