Mr. Gene Rutherford Finn, 84, of Greenbrier died at his home Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009.
Gene was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Grainola, Okla., to the late Joe and Louise (Rutherford) Finn.
He is also preceded in death by sister, Mary Jo Gregg, brother John B. Finn and grandson Eric C. Finn.
Mr. Finn served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a cattle rancher and also enjoyed raising horses. He was a member of Beryl Baptist Church in Vilonia. He was passionate about his God, family and country.
Gene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patsy (Oliver) Finn of Greenbrier; children the Rev. Joe D. Finn and wife Sheryl of Oklahoma City,, Nicholas R. Finn, DVM and wife, Marcia of Little Rock, Teresa S. Miller and husband Dennis of Greenbrier, and Gena B. Shaw and husband, Tommy of Houston, Texas; brother Glenn D. Finn and wife June of Odessa, Texas; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rick Reynolds and grandsons Jody Finn, Nathan Finn, Brian Miller, Chris Fletcher and Robbie Polk.
