Ruby Estelle Hightower, 87, of Greenbrier died Friday (June 27, 2008).
Born July 23, 1920, in Mayflower to Phillip Daniel Hopkins and Effie Dean Carter Hopkins, she was a homemaker and a member of Needs Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Willie James Hightower; daughter, Sandra Cates of Conway; son, Larry Hightower of Greenbrier; brother, L.W. Hopkins (Dub) of Mississippi; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her father, Phillip Daniel Hopkins; mother, Effie Dean Carter Hopkins and daughter Shirley Hjelden.

Pallbearers were David Cates, Mike Hightower, Jacob Reynolds, Lance Reynolds, Jimmy Weldon and Roger Hjelden. Honorary pallbearer is Kenneth Hightower.
