Virgina Faye was born March 16, 1927 in DeQueen, Arkansas. She was a 1944 graduate of DeQueen High School, a 1948 graduate of Ouachita Baptist college and a 1970 masters graduate of East Texas State University of Commerce, Texas.
She was a former teacher at Bradley High School and a former school librarian at Prattsville, Arkansas and Hope, Arkansas high schools. She was a volunteer in the mentoring program at Bradley Elementary School and a member of the Bradley Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and ardent traveler.
