Mrs. Estelle Morris Jones, 79, of Portland, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Jones was a native of Wilmot and a resident of the Aulds Community East of Portland for the past 56 years. She was a farmer, a volunteer for the Mainline Ambulance Service for a number of years and she made and decorated wedding cakes for many years. She was an active member of the Aulds Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl William Jones in 1999; a daughter, Paula Ann Verdun in 2008; a son, Tom William Jones in 1998; her parents, John William & Willie Boykin Morris; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by three granddaughters, Earla Mae Martin Wallin of Hamburg; Misty Rose Martin of Fountain Hill and April Clarissa Martin Whybark of Conway; a grandson, Edward Earl Jones of Eudora and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Aulds Baptist Church with Rev. Newton Smith and Rev. Ray Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dave Hackett, Johnny Roark, Lee Wallin, Ronald Ricks, Ronnie Kelley and Skyler Gill. Memorials may be made to the Aulds Baptist Church, c/o Mrs. Delane Pamplin, 536 Ashley 58 Road, Portland, AR 71663.
