Hency C. Schroeder was born May the 14th, 1852 in the province of Hannover, Germany, and was confirmed in the Lutheran church, April the 14th, 1867. In the year 1868 he came to America, and settled in Beecher, Illinois. In 1905 he came to Arkansas county with his family , and after living in Stuttgart a while, he moved to a farm north of town. In the year 1910 he lost his beloved wife through death. A short time ago, Mr. Schroeder went to Chicago to visit his son, Edward, and while there, he took sick and died September the 21st at 7:30 p.m., at an age of 68 years, 4 months and 7 days. Mr. Schroeder is survived by his two sons, Henry and Edward, one daughter-in-law, one grandchild and one brother. Mr. Schroeder's corpse was brought back to this city and the funeral services were held last Sunday at St. John's Lutheran church. Interment was made at the Ulm cemetery.
