Elda Margarete Leder, 94, of Stuttgart, widow of Albert Carl Leder, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at Crestpark of Stuttgart. Mrs. Leder was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Ulm to Sigmond and Emilie Hesse Trede Leder. She was a homemaker and member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ulm where she was a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher for years. She was also a member of the Altar Guild, Martha Society and numerous volunteer activities. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Neoma Leder, Laverne Timmerman and Florence Murdock. Survivors are her son, Lowell Leder of Ulm; her daughters, Sharon Leder of Laramie, Wyoming, and Margaret Leder Schneider of Seymour, Indiana; one brother-in-law, John Leder of Stuttgart; one sister-in-law, Frances Hinson of Stuttgart; five grandchildren, Laurie Sanders (Bill), Dale Leder (Cindy), Bert Leder (Farah), Jeff Schneider (Jennifer) and Michelle Smith (Bryan); and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church with burial following in Ulm Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. The family requests memorials be made to Ulm Cemetery Road Fund or the donor’s choice.
