Mrs. Ellafair Horn, 84, of Monticello died Wednesday, August 11, 1999, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. A native of the Trafalgar community, she was a Monticello resident for the past 42 years, a homemaker and a member of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, needlework and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Josh W. Horn, in 1990; her parents, Dudley and Linnie Bates Harmon; two brothers, Johnny and Cecil Harmon; and a sister, Flora Smith. Survivors are twin daughters Vernita Elder of Monticello and Virginia Norman and husband Dr. Stanley K. Norman of Hamilton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Brenda Glasmeier of Hamilton, Ohio, and Lou Dole of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 14, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with Revs. David Jacks and Larry Donaldson officiating. Pallbearers were Vince Glasmeier, Kenny Horn, James Naron, Jim Bates, Mickey Finney, Charles Harmon and Charles Linklater. Honorary pallbearers were James Griffith and Wayne Horn.
Burial followed services at the Beulah Cemetery in Drew County. Memorials may be made to the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 111 Highway 172, Monticello, AR 71655 or to a favorite charity.
