Leo Leonard Weimer, 101, of Rogers, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 1989, at a local nursing home.
He was born March 18, 1888, at Madison, S.D., to Fred Weimer and Maggie Webber Weimer. He moved to Benton County as a child and had spent most of his life in the Avoca and Garfield areas. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Garfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethel; a son, Clarence; and a daughter, Leta.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil Weimer of Coffeyville, Kan., Muril Weimer of Seligman, Mo., and Wayne Weimer of Rogers; two daughters, Bernice Woodcock of Rogers and Reba Ash of Odessa, Texas; 22 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, in Garfield First Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Lawson.
Burial is in Ruddick Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Visitation is 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
