Died, April 10 1912, five miles east of this city, Lewis Beavers. He was born Aug. 13th, 1835 in Tennessee; came to Arkansas in 1856 and settled between Gravette and Beaty. He taught school and boarded with a Mr.Wear's family, also from Tennessee, and soon married Miss Wear. To this union were born fifteen children, of whom eleven are living. He and George Daniel,now dead, did missionary work for nineteen years. Bro. Beavers was a faithful Mason, a kind and indulgent husband and father and respected by all who knew him.
