COLLIER, son - A sad accident occurred last week and was reported to the News-Herald; that being the death by scalding of the two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Collier whose home is beyond Rocky Dell, near Donevan. It seems Mrs. Collier was washing and had set a boiler of hot water on the porch. Stepping back into the house for something she was horrified upon returning to the porch to see the child pull the entire boiler of hot water over it. Physicians were summoned and did all possible to alleviate pain and if possible save the life of the child, but without avail. The little sufferer died the same night. The News-Herald extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved parents in such a sad and trying ordeal.
