SPRINGDALE — Richard Linn Allen, 80, of Springdale, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2020, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Cave Springs, Ark., to Harvey Elijah Allen and Euna Belle George-Allen.
His spiritual birth date and baptism was in May 1954 at First Baptist Cave Springs.
In 1993 he retired from Heekin Can. He was an active member of Springdale Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, trustee, songleader and church clerk. He was a fisher of men, and wherever needed in the church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing billiards, watching westerns, and enjoyed his local sports, the dogs and hogs!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Euna Belle Allen, his wife of 51 years, Donna Rogers-Allen, and great-grandchild Taylor Karfis.
Survivors include his wife, Tena McGuire-Allen, of the home — this month made it their 10 year anniversary; sister Nancy Evans of Cave Springs; brother John Allen of Springdale; sons Doug Allen of Bentonville and Kristina Pistole, daughter-in-law of Rogers, and Randy and wife Rachelle Allen of Springdale; daughter Deborah Allen-Uhl of Springdale; step-son Matt Haskins of Springdale; grandchildren Desiree and husband Mat Horton of Bentonville, Keri and husband Cory Roberts of Bentonville, Nicholas and wife Shawna Allen of Springdale, Cody Allen Uhl of Springdale, Bethany and husband Aaron Davis of Tulsa, Okla., and Caleb Uhl of Springdale; step-grandchildren Savannah and Mary Haskins of Springdale; great-grandchildren Mattie Horton, Wyatt and Ryder Roberts, and Noah and Olivia Allen; step-great-grandchild Charming Roberts. Also survived by other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Allen, Cody Allen Uhl, Caleb Uhl, Mark Phillips, Aaron Davis, Mat Horton and Cory Roberts. A drop by visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel. Private graveside services will be Friday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at Forest Park Cemetery. SPRINGDALE -- Donna D. Allen, 68 of Springdale died Dec. 21, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center Springdale. She was born Aug. 27,1940, in Springdale to William A. "Bill" and Edna Mae Holcomb Rogers.
Donna owned and operated Chic-A-Dee Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of Springdale Missionary Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and was the church reporter and she served in many different capacities. She enjoyed cooking and embroidery. She loved playing cards, games, traveling and RVing.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Tommie Ingram and a great-grandchild, Taylor Karfis.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Allen of the home, whom she married Dec. 20, 1957; two sons Doug Allen and wife Kristina of Rogers and Randy Allen and wife Rachelle of Springdale; a daughter, Debbie Uhl of Springdale; three sisters, Annetta Neiss of Mountville, Pa., Cleta Mae May of Wichita, Kan., and Betty Phillips of Springdale; six grandchildren, Desiree Horton, Ken Karfis, Nicholas Allen, Bethany Allen, Cody Uhl and Caleb Uhl.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Springdale Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Dan Wisely and Jeff Richards officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, www.siscofuneral.com.
Pallbearers will be Mat Horton, Nick Karfis, Mark Phillips, Nicholas Allen, Cody Uhl, Justin George, Alan Evans and Caleb Uhl.
