SPRINGDALE — Joy Gayle Lawrence, 53, of Springdale died June 14, 1995, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

She was born July 10, 1942, at Fort Smith to Nathaniel Franklin and Thelma Lee Ladd Wilder. She moved to Springdale in 1972 from Amite, La. She was a doll collector and a charter member of Temple Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Lawrence Jr., to whom she was married Aug. 10, 1957.

Survivors include one son, Bill Lawrence of Springdale; two daughters, Teresa Satterfield of Little Rock and Judy Spencer of Springdale; three brothers, N.F. (Sonny) Wilder Jr. of Fayetteville, Terry Wilder of Springdale and Ronald Wilder of Batesville; five sisters, Betty Jackson of Zephyr, Fla., Christine LeBean of Fayetteville, Shirley Burnett of Brook Park, Ohio, Pat Geels of Springdale and Frances Graham of Van Buren; six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale, with the Rev. J.W. Depew officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery in Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Branden James Satterfield, Michael William Lee Spencer, Steven Geels Jr., Norman Wilder, James Bishop and Rancy Graham. Honorary pall bearers will be Dustin Lawrence and Mathew Satterfield.
