REV. BURL W. LLOYD

Rev. Burl W. Lloyd, 62, Rt. 5, Springdale, died July 31 at Washington Regional Medical Center. Born Feb. 11, 1914, at Paris, Ark., he was the son of William E. and Emmie Ocie Carter Lloyd and a member of the Assembly of God Church. After 23 years as an employe at Welch Foods, he became an ordained minister of the Assembly of God Church in 1958. He pastured churches in Gravette and Lincoln where he was instrumental in building both churches. He was a member of the Arkansas District Council of the Assemblies of God Church and moved to Springdale in 1931 from Paris.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Todd Lloyd of the home; one son, Don (Buddy) Lloyd, Fort Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Burlene) Wilson, Siloam Springs; three brothers, Ernest Lloyd, Dermott, Oscar Lee Lloyd, McGehee, and Cleo Lloyd, Springdale; six grandchildren.

Services were held today at 2 p.m. at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Robert Morrison, Don Smothers and Hugh Still officiating. Burial was in the Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel with the Revs. Roy Collier, Darrell Rogers, Dennis Jech, Ray Garrison, Lindell Ballenger, G.C. Kirksey, pallbearers.
