LAVERN E. MCDANIEL
Lavern E. McDaniel, 55, Mannford, Okla., former resident of Springdale, died Oct. 11 in the VA Hospital, Fayetteville. Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Springdale, he was the son of Earnest and Katie Beasley McDaniel, a retired mechanic, a member of Springdale First Assembly of God Church and served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doretha Selby McDaniel of the home; two sons, Clifford McDaniel, Wichita, Kan., and Kevin McDaniel of the home; two brothers, Lee McDaniel, Tieton, Wash., and Clinton McDaniel, Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Brent (Dorothy) Donaldson, Porterville, Calif., and Mrs. Sherman (Halena) Hinds, Springdale; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel.
