16 Jul 1924 – 16 Feb 2008 He was a SSgt in the United States Army during World War II. He was then sent overseas to England where he received medical training and was placed in the 104th Medical Battalion attached to the 29th Infantry. Ted went ashore on Omaha Beach with the first wave of soldiers. Ted was located just outside Berlin on "Victory in Europe" day.

He was born in Verona, Marion County, Arkansas and died in Carl Junction, Jasper County, Missouri.

He was the son of Otto William and Ruby O (Carr) both born in Arkansas.

Some of his siblings were Iva Jo, Emma, JO, Paul, Harmon,Carlton and Lex.

He was the husband of Eula (Pyle) they were married 13 Jul 1942 in Boone County, Arkansas.

Some of their children were Darenda and Willa.
