Shirley Ann Hill, age 62, of Perryville, departed this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from complications after a short illness with leukemia. She was born in Belleville, Arkansas, on August 15, 1946. She is preceded in death by her mother, Verna Davidson. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She was a partial owner and director of Chart Bank and Perry County Bancshares prior to its sale, co-owner of Hill Investments LLC and Hill Farms, and a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Robert M. "Rob" Hill; two loving daughters and son-in-laws, Tracy and Dr. Jim Price of Douglasville, Georgia, and Kayla and Ben Rives of Perryville; a loving son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jaclyn Hill of Perryville; her precious grandchildren include four granddaughters, Allison, Lindsay, and Carsyn Price, and Blayre Rives; two grandsons, Grant Rives and Robert M. Hill III "Trey"; and baby boy Hill expected in February; and two step-granddaughters, Braydon Lewis and Brylee Lane. She will always be loved by a host of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008, at the Perryville United Methodist Church with Bro. David Baker officiating. Visitation with the family will precede the funeral at 10:00 a.m. at the church. The family will be at the home of Ben Rives. Burial will be at Perryville Ragsdale Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton and Perryville.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Swaffar, Larry Wood, Bobby Hoyt, Herby Branscum, Bobby J. Hibbard, Jody Hibbard, Don Crabbe and Tim Whitten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Perryville United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 645, Perryville, Arkansas 72126.
