March 25, 1927 - March 3, 2008
Ernest McGhee, age 80, of Perry, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008. He was born March 25, 1927, in Rochester, Texas, a son of Green McGhee and Elsie Rorie McGhee. He was a logger and of the Protestant Faith.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Jewell Aline Price McGhee of Perry; five children, Viann Harding of Perry, Arnold and wife Sue McGhee of Perry, Teresa and husband Denis LaCook of Perry, Mikel McGhee of Oppelo and Karen Sue and husband Roger Moore of Adona; brother, Clarence McGhee; four sisters, Anna Mae Whitney, Jan Houge, Opal Grable, and Mary Helen; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Nolan McGhee, and Gerretta McGhee; two grandchildren, Katarina Moore and Ernest Mikel McGhee; one great-grandchild, Alexis LaCook; two sisters, and one brother.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at McGhee Cemetery with Bro. Denis LaCook officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
