PASCHAL, Azariah T. - P. McKinlay of Garfield was a caller the first of the week and brought us word of the death of our friend, A.T. Paschal, who had lived for many years several miles southeast of Garfield. Mr. Paschal was sixty-nine years old and had lived in Benton Co. all his life. He was the son of David Paschal and was born on Pea Ridge but at the age of four years he went with his parents to the farm where he died and where he had lived for 65 years, honored and respected by the entire community. For a number of years he was a director of the Garfield Fruit Growers Association. Mr. Paschal is survived by two children, a daughter, Mrs. E.B. Ruddick of Rogers, a child by his first wife; and by a son. E.G. Paschal, who lives on the home place. He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Paschal. Funeral services were held Saturday {Mr. Paschal died Friday} afternoon at the Ruddick cemetery and were conducted by Rev. Ira Ames.

He numbered his friends by his acquaintances, always very considerate of his fellowman. A loving husband, kind and affectionate father. Departed this life January 20th, 1922. Age 69 years, 6 months. He is the last person in this vicinity who lived here in the trying days of the civil war. He lived on one farm long enough to see the little bushes that he played around to grow to be good size saw logs. Mr. Paschal, though he had the faults of the flesh, yet his life had many sterling qualities rarely found in man. The funeral services were conducted by Brother I.D. Ames and his neighbors who he loved so well.
