LEWIS H. MURPHY
Lewis Henry "Pat" Murphy, 54, operator of an Apco Service station in Rogers, died at his home Saturday morning on Highway 102 west of Rogers.
He was born June 2, 1920 in Stratton, Colo., the son of George Henry and Ethel Fay Griswold Murphy. He moved to Rogers when he was four years old and the family lived at Best, northeast of Springdale.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Reba Sooter Murphy of the home; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Fay Murphy of Bentonville, one son, Henry Leon Murphy of Rogers; five daughters, Mrs. Eva Prophet of Rogers, Mrs. Berretta Adcock and Mrs. Diana Wells of Harrison, Miss Terisa Murphy and Miss Dorothy Murphy of the home; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Kirk of Rogers; three brothers, Lawrence Murphy of Rogers, and Fred and Harry Murphy of Angelton, Tex., and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Burns Funeral Chapel in Rogers, conducted by Rev. Roy Galyean. Burial will be in Ruddicks Cemetery.
