McCUTCHEN, John - {from Garfield} This week we have to chronicle the sad event of the death of Bro. John McCutchen. He had lived in this neighborhood a good many years but at the time of his death lived not far from Neodesha, Kas. where he was at work in a brick yard. He was killed by the accidental discharge of blasting powder that he and his employer were attempting to fire. He was brought here for burial Saturday, this being his old home. He leaves a wife and four small children, an aged father and several brothers and sisters to mourn their loss.
