MARSHALL, M.T.C. - From the Huntsville Democrat we learn of the death of M.T.C. Marshall, who died at Huntsville a week ago Monday, January 4th. He had been afflicted with stomach and kidney trouble for several months. The remains were taken Tuesday to his old home at Garfield, this county, for interment. Mr. Marshall, who was a brother of Mrs. Clark Brixey and the father of Mrs. Gus Blankenship, both of this city, was one of the best known citizens of Benton county for many years. He owned a farm near Garfield and also conducted a general store there, which acquired more than local fame by its sign, which declared it to be the R-can-saw store. Mr. Marshall left Garfield two or three years ago with the intention of engaging in the lumber business in Madison county. His Rogers and Benton county friends will learn of his death with regret.
