Virgil Hampton, age 75, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007.
Born July 22, 1932 at England, he was a son of the late William Virgil Hampton and Emma Frances Eason Hampton.
A graduate of Plum Bayou High School and Furrs School of Business, he was a yardman for Southern Pacific Railroad for many years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors: two sons, Troy Hampton (Carol) of Cabot and Jon David Hampton ( Kelly) of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Lynn Graham of Batesville and Rhonda Finch (Mike) of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, David Hampton of Russellville and Troy Hampton of Perryville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
