Raymond D. Higgins, age 78, of Houston, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012. He was born August 9, 1933, in Cherry Hill, Arkansas, a son of Watt Torrence Higgins and Lillymary Pennington Higgins. He was a lumberjack and the widow of Edith Ileavy Lucas Higgins.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Holt, Cindy Wood and Barbara Wyles all of Houston; two sons, Ronnie Higgins of Houston and Terry Ray Higgins of Houston; brother, Billy Ray Higgins of Conway; sister, Tina King of Conway; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; four step-sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Jason Turner officiating. Burial will be at Harper Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the funeral home.
