*Obituary:

Helen Irene Baldwin, a resident of Berryville, AR was born June 27, 1919 in Berryville, AR, a daughter of Walter and Tura (Meadlin) Matney. She departed this life Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Eureka Springs, AR, at the age of 91years.

Helen was a homemaker and a very precious mother. She loved quilting, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family, which was most important to her. She was a member of the Towering Oaks Church.

She is survived by two sons, David & wife Sherry Baldwin of Lakewood, CA; Johnny & wife Marlene Baldwin of Berryville, AR; one sister, Virginia Paulk of Anchorage AK; one brother, Bill Matney of Berryville, AR; a special Grandmother; grandchildren, Deena Updegraff, Tami Price, Brent Updegraff, Davey Baldwin, Marlett McKinney, Wes Owens; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Arnold, Christy Brown, Johnathan and Katie Patterson, Ashley, Paige, and Tristan Updegraff, Madison, Calvin, and Lily Anne Baldwin, Jake, Marlie, and Sidnee McKinney, Madison and Matt Owens; great-great-grandchildren, Ben and Jack Arnold, Brooks Brown, Kali Patterson and Logan Patterson; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

On December 26, 1938 Helen was united in marriage with John Edward Baldwin who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Tura Matney, one daughter, Joyce Baldwin; three sisters and four brothers.
