Roy Lee Walker, a resident of Green Forest, AR, was born July 9, 1939 in Berryville, AR, a son of Garland and Bonnie (Deweese) Walker. He departed this life Friday, January 20, 2012 in Springfield, MO at the age of 72 years.Roy proudly served in the United States Army. He was a farmer for many years. He attended the Grandview Baptist Church.On October 2, 1986, he was united in marriage with Nellie Jane Brown who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one stepson, Clarence Rogers of Bradleyville, MO; two daughters, Debra Headley of Berryville, AR; Janeine Plumlee of Berryville, AR; mother, Bonnie Walker of Berryville, AR; one brother, Carroll Walker of Green Forest, AR; Lavonne Johnson of Pineville, MO; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Garland Walker, first wife, Barbara Smith, one son, one brother, & one sister. Visitation will be 5 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy McCall officiating. Interment will follow at the Farmer Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
