WILLIAMS, M.E. - Mr. M.E. Williams died at his home in this city Thursday Feb. 1st after an illness of several months with dropsy. The funeral services were conducted by Elder West and the remains laid to rest in Bozarth Cemetery on Friday. Mr. Williams has resided in this part of the county more than 20 years and has led an upright christian life. He served in the Union Army during the civil war, enlisting in an Illinois Company. Mr. Williams was 69 years of age and has for many years been a consistent member of the Baptist church. He is the father of Esq. Clem and C.C. Williams of this place.
