Jim Douglas Morgan, Sr., 85, of Lake Village died Friday, April 20, 2012, at Lake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Born March 2, 1927, in Thomaston, Alabama, the son of the late Marion C. Morgan and Mary Lou Green Morgan, he was an U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired LP Gas truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lona Hallman Morgan of Lake Village; two sons, Gary Morgan and wife Kris of Portland and Jim Morgan, Jr., of Imperial, Texas; a daughter, Gail Morgan Borden of Monroe, LA; five grandchildren and one
great-granddaughter, Lillian Fields; four brothers, Will Morgan and wife Colleen of Greenbrier, Ike Morgan of Little Rock, Jud Morgan and wife Dalta of Mayflower and Morris Morgan and wife Jenitta of Bryant; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Mike Morgan, John
Morgan, Matt Morgan and Joe Morgan; and two sisters, Sarah Allgood and Rena Morgan.

Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Bishop Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial was to follow in Lake Village Cemetery.

Lona Belle Morgan, age 91, of Lake Village passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. Lona was born
December 28, 1927 in Tuscaloosa County, AL. She is the daughter of the late George W. Hallman and Mary Ann (Simpson) Hallman.
Lona loved life in Chicot County where she raised her family and became an LPN, and she worked for over 20 years at Chicot Memorial Hospital, she was kind and gentle to everyone. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate, Proverbs 31:31. Lona was a member of the Lake Village Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, of 64 years, Jim Morgan Sr.; three brothers, Preston, Leon,
and Willard Hallman, and a sister, Clora Moore.
Lona is survived by one daughter, Gail Borden of Monroe, LA and two sons, Gary Morgan and wife,
Kris of Portland, AR, and Jim Morgan Jr.and wife, Melody of Imperial, TX; one sister, Jean Hudson
of Lakeland, FL; Five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and
friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8 from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 9 at Bishop King Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Toby Austin officiating with burial following in Lake Village City Cemetery under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
