Verma Doss was born on July 7, 1917 in Springfield, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Daisy and Guy Harris.
Verma married Arthiemer Doss in 1941 at the age of 24. They had six children: Barbara Jean Pitts, Helen Ruth Washington, Audra Mae Doss, Velma Rea Jefferson, Lloyd Allen Doss, and Billie Faye Martinez-Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Daisy Harris; three sisters, Audra Dean Harris, Mable Acker, Dwendlyn Saulsbury; and two brothers, Eural Harris and Oral Harris; and one son Lloyd Doss.
Survivors are sister Flavia Allen,daughters, Barbara Jean Pitts, Helen Ruth Washington, Audra Doss, Velma Jefferson, and Billie Martinez-Jenkins; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a very special friend - Carolyn Swaffer.
