Thelma Pauline Neal, 73, of Calico Rock, AR, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at the Community Medical Center of Izard County. She was born July 26, 1930, to Henry and Lucy Collins Kytle at Gorby, AR. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wises Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Pineville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Ray Neal; one brother, Robert Kytle; and one great-granddaughter, Teresa Marie Baptiste. Survivors include four sons, Johnnie Neal of Edgerton, KS, Raymond Neal of Council Bluffs, IA, Bobbie Neal of Versailles, MO, and David Neal of Olathe; three daughters, Charlie Clay of Edgerton, KS, Thelma Pirtle of Lenexa, KS, and Mary Jones of Calico Rock; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services, Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. at Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne, AR, with Bro. Mike Haney officiating. Interment in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Oxford. Visitation, Friday, Feb. 13, from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers: Johnnie Neal, Raymond Neal, Bobbie Neal, David Neal, Richard Roggenkamp and Jeremy Jones. Honorary pallbearer: Steven Neal.
