White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, March 10, 1994:

William Edd Arnold of Melbourne, Arkansas son of the late George Huston Arnold and Nancy Branscum was born January 24, 1919 in Zion, Arkansas. He died March 6, 1994 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas, at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Arnold was united in marriage to Lillie Lea Neal on November 24, 1954 in Melbourne, Arkansas and to this union 12 children were born. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the DAV and the First Landmark Baptist Church.

Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife Lillie Arnold; four daughters, Georgia Grisson of Ash Flat, Vallie Lankford of Batesville, Vernie Rainwater of Michigan and Cathy Bishop of Sidney, Arkansas; six sons, Ray Arnold of Zion, Douglas Arnold of Cuba, Connal Lee Arnold of Melbourne, Raymond Arnold of LaCrosse, Jerry Arnold of Brockwell and Demmie Arnold of Melbourne; one sister, Thelma Dale of Sage; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Jackie and one daughter, “Marlene”.

Services were March 8, 1994 at the First Landmark Baptist Chruch with Jesse McDaniels and Loyse Cate officiating.

Pallbearers were Charles McDaniel, Mike Chadwick, Billy Wayne Yancy, Doug Arnold, Kevin Grissom and Bill Arnold.

Interment was at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas under the directions of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne
