Lillie Lea (Neal) Arnold daughter of Raymon Dennie Neal and Eliza Elizabeth "Bettie" (Chadwick) Neal. Lillie born in Oxford, Izard County, Arkansas and died Salem, Fulton County, Arkansas.

William Edd Arnold of Melbourne, Arkansas son of the late George Huston Arnold and Nancy Branscum was born January 24, 1919 in Zion, Arkansas. He died March 6, 1994 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas, at the age of 76 years.

Mr. Arnold was united in marriage to Lillie Lea Neal on November 24, 1954 in Melbourne, Arkansas and to this union 12 children were born. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the DAV and the First Landmark Baptist Church.

Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife Lillie Arnold; four daughters, Georgia Grisson of Ash Flat, Vallie Lankford of Batesville, Vernie Rainwater of Michigan and Cathy Bishop of Sidney, Arkansas; six sons, Ray Arnold of Zion, Douglas Arnold of Cuba, Connal Lee Arnold of Melbourne, Raymond Arnold of LaCrosse, Jerry Arnold of Brockwell and Demmie Arnold of Melbourne; one sister, Thelma Dale of Sage; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Jackie and one daughter, “Marlene”.

Services were March 8, 1994 at the First Landmark Baptist Chruch with Jesse McDaniels and Loyse Cate officiating.

Pallbearers were Charles McDaniel, Mike Chadwick, Billy Wayne Yancy, Doug Arnold, Kevin Grissom and Bill Arnold.

Interment was at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas under the directions of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne

Lillie Lea Arnold of Melbourne daughter of the late Raymond and Betty Chadwick Neal was born December 7, 1923, in Oxford. She died December 3, 1995 in Salem. She was 71.

Mrs. Arnold was a member of the Landmark Mission Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons; Lee Arnold, Ray Arnold and Demmie Arnold, all of Melbourne, and Jerry Arnold of Brockwell; six step-children, Ray Arnold of Zion, Georgie Grissom of Ash Flat, Vernie Rain of Michigan, Vallie Lankford of Zion, Doug Arnold of St. Louis, Missouri and Kathy Bishop of Melbourne; one sister, Ola Miller of Calico Rock; one brother, Ray Neal of Calico Rock; 18 step-grandchildren, nine grandchildren and 23 step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter and one brother.

Services were held December 5, 1995 at the Howard Chapel in Melbourne with Reverend Jesse McDaniel and Loyse Cate officiating.

Pallbearers were Chris Arnold, Jimmy Ray Miller, Ronnie D. Miller, Thomas Hellums, Billy Wayne Yancey and Lonzo Moser.

Interment was at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Oxford under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
