Mrs. Idella Durig 74 Dies Here Wednesday
Mrs. Idella Durig aged 74, for many years a resident of this community died Wednesday, December 15, at the home of her son, James Durig of this place. She was stricken suddenly, ill one week before her death.
Mrs. Durig was born May 25, 1880 near Oxford and spent her early life in that vicinity. In 1918 she was married to Henry Durig, who preceded her in death by about 16 years. She had been a resident of Calico Rock and vicinity about 80 years. She united with the Missionary Baptist Church early in life and remained a faithful Christian until death. She loved and esteemed by a large circle of acquaintances.
Besides her son, she is survived by two grand-daughters, a number of cousins and innumerable friends.
Funeral services were held at Pleasant Ridge Church, near Oxford today at 2 p.m. Rev. D. M. Kreis, pastor of Calico Rock Baptist Church, conducting the services. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, with the Hall Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
