Mrs. M.C. Mann of Sumpter died Tuesday at the age of 69. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, M.C. Mann of Sumpter; eight children, Mrs. Ira Baker, Mrs. Julius Smith, Mrs. Otis Trussell, Van Mann, Minor Mann, Mrs. Johnny Outlaw, Mrs. Alfred Savage, and Mrs. Louis Outlaw, all of Sumpter; four sisters, Mrs. S.W. Beasley and Mrs. Chester Jones, both of Hermitage, Mrs. A.F. Trussell and Mrs. Sam Norman, both of Hot Springs; and two brothers, J.A. Hickman and Steve Hickman, both of Warren. Funeral services for Mrs. Mann were conducted at Martin's Chapel Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J. Ralph Clayton. Interment was in Outlaw Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home.

Mellie C. Mann, age 89, of Hermitage, died Thursday, December 23, at Pine Lodge Nursing Home. A native of Bradley County, Mr. Mann was born October 24, 1882. He was a son of the late Hilliard and Elizabeth Beasley Mann. Mr. Mann was a retired farmer and a member and Sunday School Superintendent of Martin's Chapel United Methodist Church for fifty years. Survivors include two sons, Van Mann and Minor Mann both of Hermitage; six daughters, Mrs. Ira Baker, Hermitage, Mrs. J.A. Smith, Ingalls, Mrs. Odes Trammill, Hermitage, Mrs. Johnny Outlaw, Hermitage, Mrs. Alfred Savage, Hermitage, Mrs. Louis Outlaw, Hermitage; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 26, at Martin's Chapel United Methodist Church by Sister Dorothy Clayborne. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery, Bradley County, by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Kirby Forrest, Terrell Wilson, Guy Jones, Hollis Jones, Alfred Ozment, and Clyde Wilson.
