ARLINGTON. Texas — Casey Roy Brinegar, 26, of Arlington died July 13, 2010, in Tolar, Texas. He was born March 21, 1984, in Rogers to Kerry Brinegar and Vicki Woodlee Herbert.

He was a flight instructor for Sky Mates in Arlington and attended the Seventh-day Adventist Academy, where he was chaplain his senior year and a member of the Royal Air's Choir.

Survivors include his father, Kerry and Vanessa Brinegar of Siloam Springs; his mother, Vicki and Ronnie Herbert of Watts, Okla.; four brothers, including Tim Brinegar of Siloam Springs, Wayne Herbert of Watts and Jeremy Herbert of Fayetteville; a sister.

Services were held July 17 at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Son Of Local Man Killed In Plane Crash

The son of a Siloam Springs businessman was killed Tuesday night in a plane crash about 45 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

Casey Brinegar of Arlington, Texas, was in a Beechcraft Bonanza C33 when it crashed in a hay field near Tolar, Texas, at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Lynn Lunsford, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration. Tolar is about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

Two men from India also were on board.

One was killed in the crash, and the other died at a hospital in Fort Worth.

"The plane crashed for unknown reasons," Lunsford said.

Brinegar, 26. died at the scene.

Brinegar is the son of Kerry Brinegar of Kerry's Paint & Body at 1019 E. Main St. in Siloam Springs.

The 1964 single-engine airplane was registered to Kerry Brinegar. It was assigned tail number N5827S.

Casey Brinegar was a night instructor and a private pilot, Lunsford said.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
