*Obituary:
The Rev. "H.D." Dick Shipley 78, of Barling, Arkansas died Wednesday, January 3, 1996, in his home. A retired minister, he pastored a number of churches in Arkansas and Oklahoma and founded First Free Will Baptist Church of Greenwood and Cavanaugh First Free Will Baptist of Fort Smith. He also was employed by Harding Glass Co. for 31 years. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church for 46 years and was a member of Blue Lodge No. 6 in Van Buren and the Scottish Rite of Fort Smith.

Funeral was held at 3 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church of Fort Smith with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife; five daughters; a sister; a half sister; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
