Troy Ausbie Rush son of James Moses Rush and Lillie Bell (Cooper) Rush. Emma Zelfie (Gilbert) Rush daughter of Lewis Alexander "Alex" Gilbert and Martha Eaferim Catherine (McVey) Gilbert. Emma was born and died in Brockwell, Izard County, Arkansas. Troy was born in Melbourne, Izard County, Arkansas and died Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas.

Troy Ausbie Rush, son of the late James Moses and Lillie Bell Cooper Rush was born August 6, 1917 in Melbourne. He died February 19, 2000 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was 82.
Mr. Rush was united in marriage to Emma Lelfie Gilbert, November 10, 1937 in Brockwell. To this union five children were born. He was a life long resident of Izard County, a retired farmer and a member and deacon of First Landmark Baptist Church in Melbourne.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Billy Wayne Yancey of Brockwell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Winford and Attie Rush of Brockwell and Clifton and Bonnie Rush of Brockwell; one sister, Matra Musgrove of East Wenatchee, Washington; one brother, Glen Rush of Independence, Missouri; one half-sister, Viola Jones of Melbourne; thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sons, five half-sisters and two half-brothers.
Funeral services were held February 22, 2000, at the Roman and Billy Memorial Chapel in Melbourne. Pallbearers were Mike Rush, Ronnie Felton, Alex Rush, Jason Rush, Tyler Box and Jerry Arnold, Jr.
Interment was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Emma Zelfie Rush of Brockwell, Arkansas, daughter of the late Alex and Martha McVey Gilbert was born on March 17, 1912 at Brockwell. She died July 10, 1994 in her home at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Rush was united in marriage to Troy Ausbie Rush on November 10, 1937 at Brockwell and to this union five children were born. She spent her life as a homemaker and she was a member of the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Melbourne, Arkansas.
Mrs. Rush is survived by her husband, Troy of the home; one daughter, Catherine Yancey of Brockwell; two sons, Winford and Clifton Rush both of Brockwell; 13 granchildre and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sons.
Services were July 13, 1994, in Howard Chapel at Melbourne with Loys Cate and Charles McDanials officiating.
Pallbearers were Mike Rush, Mike Box, Kelly Powell, Ronnie Felton, Kevin Hardaway, Terry Blankenship, Doug Smith and Jerry Arnold. Honorary pallbearers were Jason rush, Alex Rush and David Thompson.
Interment was at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Oxford, Arkansas, under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
