"WARREN — Esther Singer Cruce, age 95, of Warren died Sunday, Jan. 30, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born Jan. 9, 1910 in Bradley County, a daughter of the late William Thomas Singer and Allie Stough Singer. She was a retired bookkeeper for Owen’s Clothing Store, member First United Methodist Church, former president and secretary First United Methodist Women, past member and president GFWC Women’s Club, past Secretary/Treasurer Adams-Singer Cemetery Association and the widow of Lester Cruce who died May 2, 1986. They were united in marriage May 29, 1927 in Warren, Ark. Also, preceding her in death was a sister, Willie Mae Halligan. Survivors are two daughters, Betty Doss of Warren, Ark., and Billie Seligman of Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren, Scott Doss of Atlanta, Ga., Susan Lawrence of Batesville, Ark., Chuck Benson of Grand Canyon, Ariz., and Lee Ann Dougal of Hampshire, England; four great-grandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild.
"Funeral services 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, Frazer’s Chapel. Burial in Adams-Singer Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Frazer’s."
