Dennie Gene Sikes, 63, of Alabam, Arkansas died June 5, 2011 at his home. He was born November 19, 1947 at Rotan, Texas the son of Harley Lee and Dorthy Dee Gardner Sikes. He worked in construction maintenance, was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army and Attended Peoples Mission Church at Alabam. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Edwin Sikes and one grandchild.
Survivors include: his wife, Lisa Dawn Evans Sikes of the home; two sons, Lance Sikes of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Phillip Sikes of Rogers, Arkansas; one daughter, Leslie Sikes of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two stepsons, Bo Meadors and William Meadors both of Springdale, Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Tisha Swart of Chanute, Kansas and Kallie Wade of Springdale, Arkansas; four brothers, Von Sikes of Alabam, Arkansas, Jimmy Sikes of Hindsville, Arkansas, Aubry Sikes of Springdale, Arkansas and Robbie Sikes of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three sisters, Eulonda Bryant of Huntsville, Arkansas, LaVelle Haney of Alma, Arkansas and Reba Sloan of Alabam, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Larry Phillips, Harlen Houston, Bub Houston, Eddie Wade and Jim Yates.
