Virginia Kathryn Sprott, 97, of Harrison, Arkansas, formerly of Marble, Arkansas, died November 16, 2011 at her home. She was born December 7, 1913 at Waterloo, Indiana, the daughter of Jay William and Ethel Myers Dilgard. He was a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, where she sang and played the organ for many years. She was also a member of Bois d'Arc Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Berryville, the Marble Extension Homemakers Club and The Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Joseph Ezra Sprott who preceded her in death on April 29, 2010.
Survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Lt. Col. David N. Sprott (USMC, Ret.) of Mobile, Alabama, Dr. J. Michael and Linda S. Sprott of Omaha, Arkansas, Samuel W. and Sandra K. Sprott of Hermitage, Missouri and James D. and Janis A. Sprott of Harrison, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Roberta K. and Ronald E. Nelson of Helena, Montana; grandchildren, Jeffrey Sprott, Megan Davis, jay Sprott, Karen Boardman, Judy Werner, Eric Nelson, Neil Nelson, Rebekah Vieira, Tony Sprott, Sarah Heringer and Emily McIllwain; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A. M. Saturday, November 19, at the First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville with The Reverend Georgia Senor officiating. Interment will be in the Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Jeffrey Sprott, Jay Sprott, Todd Werner, Eric Nelson, Ryan Heringer and Jonathan McIllwain. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Friday at the funeral home.
